The musical diversities of Pacific Noize come from Hip Hop to Jazz & Blues, from R&B to Death Metal, from Dream Theatre to Classic Rock, and Jawaiian flavah music. Sharing the same nationalistic roots, this group is out to send a message through a different kind of Reggae Music which they call “Island Funk Riddims.†Pacific Noize was founded in September of 2005. The band was created out of a passion for music and a brotherhood that lives on today.The band decided to key-in a style that would bring their music together. It was then brought forth the initial spark of reggae and island music to the mix. Together, their blend of musical backgrounds formed their unique flavor of “island reggae†music, in what they call Reggae Funk.After several months of steady dedicated practice, they decided to take their sound on the road. Their first gig was at a small restaurant in Anaheim, California. This was truly a pivotal moment for the band. Each member experienced the feeling to be on stage with their musical brothers and sharing their music with the world. They felt the adrenaline and excitement of playing their brand of music for a live audience. The audience loved the style and sound which made this new band fall in love with the music style even more. But the band quickly realized they had a long road ahead of them. They had a lot to learn about being a band and refining their sound.The band continued to practice relentlessly and they played gigs on a regular basis. They played stage gigs all over the LA and Orange County area including some private performances. The band’s sound began to mature and evolve and they became more in tune with their instruments. Never really realizing the potentials, the band’s stage presence and confidence grew with each gig. It was supposed to be just a group friends getting together to have fun and play music. But Pacific Noize was evolving into not just a band but also a talented group of passionate musicians.As with any band, Pacific Noize would go through its share of personnel changes throughout its history. Friends and acquaintances that played instruments were regular visitors at band practice. Guest singers and instrumentalists have shared the stage with Pacific Noize throughout the years but the founding members have always managed to stay together. The band is recently experimenting with additional vocalists to expand the depth of their harmonies. Pacific Noize is never afraid to take risks and experiment with new sounds. After all, that is what brought them to where they are today. Pacific Noize has a small but loyal following and continues to practice and play gigs on a regular basis. They have come a long way from that first gig in Anaheim. They have played for hundreds of people, played some top name venues, and have opened for some very talented bands.The future of Pacific Noize is filled with endless possibilities. Each member is dedicated to becoming true artists on their respective instruments. Their musical influences continue to guide them and enhance their musical skills everyday. Professional recording sessions are the next step for the band in hopes of spreading their music to the world. The support of their family and friends and their undying love for music is what keeps them going. Pacific Noize hopes to continue playing together for as long as life allows them.
