About Me

Have just graduated from Glasgow uni with a degree in French language and literature. I co-present a show called PreRequisite on Subcity Radio, and have spent loads of time over the past few years involved in student radio and gig promotions...My favourite belongings are my red shoes and my red star-shaped tambourine. My favourite people are the ones you'll see me about with.So far this year the best thing I've heard anyone say was "The difference between a handbag and a man-bag is the emergency pork-pie." I quote Steve here. One of the best things I've seen this year was last week at night on a Glasgow street in pouring rain and wind, watching two blokes meandering along. One was pushing a trolley with a dead exercise bike in it; his friend somewhere under a canopy of broken discarded umbrellas (11 at the time I counted), occasionally darting off to right or left to rescue another and let it join the growing community about his head and shoulders. The one thing I always wanted to be but couldn't was a ballerina....but all the other good things have more than made up for it.According to myheritage.com the celebrity I most resemble is Ashton Kutcher.I can't stand belly buttons. Therefore couldn't ever be a naval architect. ..

The Haunting of the Old Banana Warehouse

The giant banana from days past loomed in the shadows... less yellowly than in its living days, indeed less yellowly than a few moments before when the beam of the caretaker's torch had passed over it...

Some thoughts from when I was away at the seaside...

13/09 I was sitting on a rock on one side of the island earlier today.  I could only see buildings if I turned round.  Below me were more rocks and the sea directly ahead.  I sat for a...
