About Me

I was born in LA and raised in Riverside by my single father. My real name is Miyoshi and my nick name is Taj. No I'm not asian. Thanks Dad for keeping it real! It definitely gives a person a different view of men not having a mom around. She is one of my best friends now which is pretty darn cool. I was born in LA and moved from Riverside to LA in '96. Yes I said Riverside and stop hating folks. It was awesome where I grew up. I didn't say Moreno Valley, I didn't say San Bernardino, I didn't say Perris. I said Riversiiiiiide! It's not what you think and at least we HAVE seasons, unlike LA. Just remember don't believe everything you hear or see on TV. People that hate for no reason without knowing why obviously have other issues. Yeh you Kevin and Bean! Life is too short to hate. I'm a lover not a hater as Michael Jackson once said! Ha ha! Anywho, I moved to New York for a couple years and moved back in 2002. The best thing I ever did was move to the city. I met so many great people there. The pulse is amazing. I can't wait to be bi-coastal again. Life is too short to keep it in one place. Don't get me wrong LA has its moments and everyone wants to come here. BUT, It is LALA land folks. Nothing real about it. It is not for the weak people. Now New York, that's a city. My next stop is Miami. Love, love, love that place. Actually I could do Vegas too. Gotta have a place to crash in Vegas! The locals are the best (you know who you are). Thanks for always taking care of me since day one! Well I even finally decided to leave the South Bay. Headed more south to Long Beach! I can't believe I didn't do it a long time ago. Friggin love it people!! No complaints! I have muddled my constant ache for NYC. For now....

My Interests

People that are REAL and HONEST and just don't tell someone what they want to hear. Hey people if you tell the truth you don't have to remember what the funk you said!

I'd like to meet:

Jesus would be a cool man to meet. I'd love to hear what he had to say (no matter who he is). Martin Luther King, Ghandi, Oprah Winfrey, Jim Henson, Alex Haley, Bob Marley, Stephen Hawking, Steve Jobs, Alton Brown, Carl Sagan, Jane Goodall, and the guys who invented myspace. I would like to slap them for selling it for 500 million.

Music:

I love anything that is GOOD! But I do love my house!!

Movies:

Somewhere in Time, any movies with the Muppets, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Pulp Fiction, Legends of the Fall, From Dusk 'til Dawn, The Shining, Ray, True Romance, American Psycho (thanks to my neighbor Jonathan)

Television:

Eye of the Leopard, Sopranos, Six Feet Under, The Little Rascals, Good Eats, Entourage (the epitome of LA/Hollywood). Tivo is the best! I am a Food Network junkie. A girl has to know how to cook! I still love the Simpsons, I'm partial to the Family Guy, and any forensic show. I'm all over it. I try not get attached to new shows, as I just don't have time.

Books:

The Bible (Living Version), the Dictionary, the Thesaurus, Chances, The Four Agreements, The Celestine Prophecy, Intensity, The Tipping Point, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. From the River Piedra I Wept, The Secret Garden, anything from Frank L Baum or C.S. Lewis

Heroes:

People that are doing what they LOVE and getting PAID for it!
