About Me

"You've made me the happiest juvenile delinquent in Baltimore!"I'm a paranormal investigator based in SW WI, but I'm always willing to travel! This is my personal webpage; I am happy to network with other people in the paranormal community, but I don't want my personal page to represent my professional ethics or approach to research. Recently I have decided to post a little more about my upcoming plans in hopes of networking as much as possible, but I do so cautiously because I don't want my silly personal page to misrepresent my aim or intentions in the field. Paranoid? Maybe. But everyone loves a disclaimer, right?I'm also a ref for the Mad Rollin' Dolls, fuckin' A!

My Interests

Things that interest me off the top of my head: Ghosts, roller derby, DIY lobotomies, living, writing, loving, reading, making things happen, continuous learning... I'm a full time mom, a business owner, a paranormal investigator, roller derby ref and a revolutionary. I spend a lot of time caring for my family ( one daughter, three dogs and my grandparents get the bulk of my time), working on the business (I make and sell custom embroidery/ clothing designs) and hanging out in the dark, hoping to catch a glimpse of something beyond the mundane. I love it when I get the chance to get out and have a good guinness and take in some live music or chat with interesting people. These days I try to get out to the motherfucking roller derby for every goddamned bout! (edited to add: I loved it so much, I decided to get in and get my hands dirty, lucky me! Only thing better than watching a great bout is being part of one). If you haven't gone, what are you waiting for? Get out and support your local teams. Let's see, I'm fond of road trips, tattoos, urban legends and pop psychology, flyfishing, cooking, UE and exploring abandoned places, photography, making out, anything batman, punching people in the mouth, anything nightmare before christmas/ tim burton, mixing drinks, ghost hunting, debunking, white water canoeing, skating, dancing in big shoes and so on.I really hate writing these profile things. I always swear that I'm going to sit down and write a really good one someday so all I have to do is cut and paste it over and over again, but then I never do it.

I'd like to meet:

the debil...

Music:

Jets to brazil, Jawbreaker, The decemberists, the smiths, Alkaline Trio, the cure, cursive, detroit cobras, Blackfire Revelation, Beastie Boys, tenacious d, Neutral Milk Hotel, Pink lincolns, The Ramones, Cursive, sublime, White Stripes, the formatwell, that's a good start anyway.

Movies:

Vincent, Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Batman- basically anything by or involving Tim Burton, he makes movies that match the landscape of my heart. Awww! heh. O, brother, Where Art Thou and The Royal Tenenbaums are two movies I watch chronically... I used to watch The Exorcist on a near weekly basis, but having a little one around really doesn't mesh well with that. It's hard for me to just make a cut and dry list, but I guess everyone whines about that, don't they? I love the experience of seeing a movie- the whole act of communicating on such a grand scale is so fearless that it leaves me feeling inspired, even if I poke holes in the plotline and hate the lead actor.

Television:

My Name is Earl, Mythbusters, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Dead Like Me (okay, so it's not on anymore, but it should be), Daily Show, Dirty Jobs, DEADLIEST CATCH

Books:

One Monster After Another, The Phantom Tollbooth, Anything by Flannery O'Connor, Inconsolable (yeah, check that book out and when you get done crying and making out with it, pass it on to the next mother you see.) Pronoia
