your brain, not your body, is what gets me...

About Me

When I was three I was in Madame Butterfly as her illegitimate child, "Trouble". I believe that that sums me up nicely. My Achilles heels are chocolate, pie and brave, intelligent people who are not intimidated by strength and beauty. You have to know at least two obscure poets and have been to one country people will say, "You went there? Really? Why?" to rate. I like the color black and the smell of pavement after a good spring rain. Walks in the evening in summer are nice, too. I tend to get swept away by good period piece movies and wish I had all the clothes and the glorious houses but none of the tragedy (let's face it, movies don't get made about the real happy endings, do they?). I once fell in love with a man on a bus because he was singing an aria from Il Travatore. He was a homeless man who could sing opera. I wonder what ever became of him. I like and admire musicians but won't date them. I adore artists and writers and keep them close, because they understand me. I loathe pretension and cannot stand the idea that there are people who select mates based on physicality... really, there is so much more. My one care is that we eventually, as a species, find a way to balance secularism with a love of all things holy and sacred. You will typically find me engaged in a debate with myself as to whether to knit, write or actually leave the house and spend time with people. Good luck, take care, and goodnight. .mywackospace {

Music:

One of my favorite songs... guess who and the title and I will love you forever.~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~Don't fade away, my brown-eyed girl/ Come walk with me, i'll fill your heart with joy/ And we'll dance through our isolation./ Seeking solace in the wisdom we bestow/ Turning thoughts to the here and ever after/ Consuming fears in our fiery halos/Say what you mean, mean what you say/ I've heard that innocence has led us all astray/ But don't let them make you and break you/ The world is filled with their broken empty dreams/ Silence is their only virtue/ Locked away inside their silent screams/But for now, let us dance away this starry night/ Filled with the glow of fiery stars/ And with the dawn our sun will rise/ Bringing a symphony of bird cries/Don't bring me down now, let me stay here for awhile/ You know life's too short, let me bathe here in your smile/ I'm transcending the fall from the garden/ Goodnight.
