Emily Richards is an escaped classically trained musician gone rock based in San Diego. With 10 self-released albums and over 3 million downloads, Emily is best known as the most downloaded indie artist on MP3.com. Emily is helping other musicians share their music as President of the newest Michael Robertson company, MP3tunes . Emily is also Chairman and Founder of nonprofit AWAKE (Artists Working for Awareness, Knowledge & Education) . Emily's currently in the studio recording (still!) her 11th album, Divination.
Emily is part of a cool new project 2012AM with Emily on lead vox and piano, Jason Brock on guitar, Mark Wooton doing ambient affects and DJ Quenique providing the beats. 2012AM has a terriby unique sound and is blowing audiences away with its combined innovation of alternative rock, break-beat electronica and ambient trance. 2012AM just played for the National Biodiesel Conference in San Antonio, TX and will be on the Sun Stage at San Diego's Earth Day Celebration in Balboa Park.
