exploring abandoned buildings, drive-ins, diners, going out, true crime, watching weird movies, talking to people, doing hair, dating, reading, seeing live music
SOMEONE WHO WILL MAKE ME LAUGH!! I need to meet people in San Diego or near there into the same things as I am- people who like live music in smaller clubs, drive-in movies, old diners, fine dining, dive bars, coctail parties, house parties, vintage furniture, clothing, and other `50s-`60s accessories, who like exploring unusual places, outgoing people with a good sense of humor, but who can also be serious and get into discussions, those who enjoy psychotronic movies, made-for-tv movies, and anything OTHER than Burning Man they'd like to share (no free-love hippie shit welcome)...
Matthew Sweet, Neil Young, Southern Culture On The Skids, The New Duncan Imperials, Hasil Adkins, Meteors, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Hank Williams, bands on the Estrus label, Monomen, The Strokes, Norton records label; lots of `50s & `60s stuff; also Radiohead, Oasis, Remy Zero, and small venues as opposed to big concert places.
'Psychotronic' mostly, also dramas, comedies, no teen comedies, no slasher pics unless they are pre-1980s. Favorite movies are" The Lonely Guy,(Steve Martin), Barfly, Shakes The Clown, Trees Lounge, Carnival of Souls (Candace Hilligoss), The Shining, any movies with SNL people in them, Goodfellas, Riot on Sunset Strip, Hot Rods T0 Hell, American Psycho, lots of made for TV movies, etc.. etc.,
Becker, Monk, House, The King Of Queens, The Flintstones, Yes Dear, Mad TV, Will & Grace, Sex & The City, Nip/Tuck...not that I have time to watch tv...and not that I have cable...
true-crime books by Ann Rule, biographies, everything by Christopher Pike, "coffee-table" books with nice pictures (drive-ins, diners, roadside motels, unusual structures, etc.). The Psychotronic Encyclopedia of Film, books on cult movies.
Hasil Adkins and freaks like him who don't care what anybody thinks! And people who don't judge me, but take the time to get to know me.
