It's easy to encourage someone to jump off a cliff, but much more difficult to get them to change th

About Me

A simple man with a complicated life. Obsessed with the purity of music and the lack thereof. Emphasizes the roll, in rock& roll. Believes that the revolution will begin on AM radio.

My Interests

Rock and roll has saved my soul. It can teach you patience with others, guide you through the dimensions of your mind, and free you of what you've been taught your whole life (which is all a lie). Above all, it has shown me to let go and boogie.

I'd like to meet:

Captain Shackleton, but he's dead. Herman Hesse, but he's dead. Ernest Hemmingway, dead. Captain Kangaroo, dead. Bon Scott, etc. Syd Barrett, but he went mad. Mr.Dress Up, actually, I met him. Sonny Barger, King of the Hell's Angels. And Evel Knievel, naturally. And now for the women.... Tina Marie, so she can whisper in my ear. June Carter, a great women. The Dutchess, Bo Diddley's right hand girl. Geechie Wiley, dead mysterious blues musician. Pam Grier, alive, well and kicking. The Mermaid On The Chicken Of The Sea Can of Tuna, don't ask. Jan Sisk who co-starred in "Northville Cemetery Massacre". A Girl On A Nudie Playing Card I Have. And 1975 Penthouse Playmate of the Year, Lorna Doone.

Music:

Songs that will blow your mind: "Stop- Get A Ticket"-Clefs Of Lavender "Last Kind Word Blues"-Geechie Wiley "Colours"-Donovan "Superman"-The Clique (REM fucked this one up really bad) "My Heart Cries For You"-Charlie Rich "The Grooviest Girl In The World"-The Fun & Games "Beachwood Park"-The Zombies "In The Pines"-Bill Monroe "Pretty Thing"-Bo Diddley "With A Girl Like You"-The Troggs "Porterville"-CCR "Ceiling No.1"-Honeybus "Funny, Funny"-The Sweet

Movies:

"Northville Cemetery Massacre". Completely filmed in Michigan with the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. "The Vanishing Point" a movie about the last American free spirit. Blows Easy Rider out of the fucking water. "Crumb", c'mon, it's the best documentary of all time. "The Adventures Of Baron Von Munchausen", there are so many levels to this film for both children and adults. "The King Of Hearts", shows the freedom of madness. " The Thomas Crown Affair", the original, of course!, has the most erotic scene of all time and there's no nudity, just a chess board. "Ruben & Ed", Crispin Glover's finest work,"My cat can eat a whole watermelon!". "The Merry Widow", sorry but this is one of the finest porn films ever made.

Television:

What I miss about television was waking up early on Saturday morning and watching cartoons for hours. I feel terrible for the kids today to not have that little slice of time where Captain Caveman and Super Friends ruled the airwaves. Then afterwards Creature Feature! I love watching TV, but now-a-days, I can't stand to even turn it on it's so bad.

Books:

"Narcissus And Goldmund" by Herman Hesse. Changed my thinking patterns. "Bubblegum Music Is The Naked Truth", After all, it is. Any Joseph Campbell. "Kama Sutra", well I've never read it but, my copy has pictures. Any book on mythology. "The Curse Of Lono" by Hunter S. Thompson "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein "Goodnight Moon" by the people who wrote "Goodbye Moon"

Heroes:

The MC5. Showing the world that being a liberal wasn't being a bleeding heart, but being an urban guerilla that didn't need meat to survive. By that, I don't mean cheeseburger consumption, I just find myself and many others, STILL talking about the same idea, almost 40 years later.. Led Zeppelin. Black Sabbath sang songs about black magic; Zeppelin practiced it. The Black Panthers. Once again, a liberal organization that didn't take shit. Leadbelly. Farmer, convicted murderer, King of the Twelve String Guitar. Captain Shackleton. The greatest leader in modern history.
