Bad Party

About Me

Wiscun, the minimal, noise duo of Nate S. and K. Michael, formed in the winter of 2000-2001. They played early, basement shows with the likes of Black Dice and Universal Indians. Internal strife, a general lack of interest and a stolen van full of equipment lead to the implosion of the group and the temporary estrangement of its members.Nate regroups and goes on to misanthropic power electronics infamy as White Devil. White Devil is said to have self released one cdr and several videos. White Devil never "officialy" calls it quits.K. Michael is asked to join Detroit synth punk upstarts Tamion 12 Inch. An EP and LP/CD are released on Ersatz Audio and several compilation tracks are recorded for various imprints. Sporadic touring, a lack of reliable transportation and misunderstanding ultimately leads to the bands demise in early 2005.That same year, Nate hatches a brief "pop" project, Candy Gnarling. K. Michael is hired and quickly fired by Wolf Eyes. Tamion 12 Inch breaks up again. In early 2006, Bad Party coalesces in a sleep deprived, drug fueled hour and plays its first gig that same night. Bad Party has played shows with Easy Action, UVU, Awesome Color, Mammal, Viki, Voltage, Mouthus, members of Sightings, KVLTS, SSM, Tyvek, Evenings, Mark Solotroff, Charlie Draheim, darkred, New Pledgemaster, Raven Strain, Our Brother the Native, DJ Dog Dick, Narwhalez (of Sound), YOUU., Vulture's Circle, The Frustrations, Team Robespierre, Perfect Wieners and Butts, Extreme Animals, JuiceBoxxx, Psychedelic Horseshit, Mi Ami, Future Blondes, Blechtum from Blechdom, Golden Error, The Terrible Twos, XBXRX, Gay Beast, Major Stars, Cleanse, Clip'd Beaks, Wierding Module, Circuits des Yeux, Carjack, Panicsville, Animental, Hive Mind, Faggot, Reptilian Forcefield, Sewn Leather, Maximum Cloud, Demons, Martial Canterel, Necropolis, the Sugarcoats, Space Band, Quintron and Miss Pussycat, etc. Debut LP/CD "Coming Out Slowly" on Animal Disguise Records out now. 7" EP coming Summer 2009 on Chondritic Sound. Split 12" with Fashion Dictator on Nihilist very soon. Late Summer 2009 East Coast and Fall 2009 European Tours in the works. Limited "Covers" CD-R, live tape, remixes, Fragile X, etc. coming soon on Black Cloud Industries.

Sounds Like: The confrontational Detroit duo featuring ex-White Devil and Tamion 12 Inch members.
