BLUNTFORCE IS OUR ART AND EXTREME PASSION. Bluntforce is a band that creates original metal music and has very high energy shows backed by people with enthusiasm and passion for our music! We are thankful for every single person who takes the time, supports, and enjoys Bluntforce! We create this not only for ourselves, but FOR YOU! It is music by the underdog, for the underdog. We hope you enjoy this as much as we do!
Bluntforce was formed in 2005 by Dave Lawson, Brian Penix, and Ricky Cash. We have all been friends for a long time. We have either played in other bands together, or knew each other from the local scene. We then had Jason (Chewy) Moore former bass player for Phanx sitting in until we found our own bass player. It wasn't too long before Bluntforce had their man. We had Robb Edwards on the bass, at the time this guy was exactly what we were missing to complete the perfect lineup to throw down like a pack of mad dogs on some kind of crack. We created another guitar position giving the job to Jason (Chewy) Moore then Rob had to leave on his own decision. We will miss him he is one of the greats. But little did we know what was waiting right around the corner. We picked up Aaron Matthews ( former bass player for Razor Fate). He jumped right in where Rob left off and we didn't miss a beat. Aaron is 1 hundred percent on board and we are very happy to have him. Jay Minish has taken over the guitar duties once held by Jason (Chewy) Moore, who is no longer with us due to personal differences. We are excited about Jay being a part of Bluntforce and the evolution taking place. We have recently had the great opportunities to open for HELLYEAH, DROWNING POOL, OT3P & BLOODSIMPLE! We are CURRENTLY spending some time to welcome Brian's first son into the world this month and also to start recording and writing new music!!! This is a very exciting time for us! We can't wait to get back out and share what we have done, with you all! The new songs are fuckin' coming! Bluntforce is focused and more determined than ever! So go ahead! Getcha a pull! FORCE UP BITCHES!!!
