Biography
Born in Chicago, Brimstone has had the privilege as an artist to experience all different kinds of music. In a scene, where nothing is coming out of the city and Hip Hop Shows are few and far in between, Brimstone is the only artist garnering local attention, and consistently playing on national shows, including: Tech N9ne, Afroman, Potluck, King Gordy and more.
In 2004, at the age of sixteen, Brimstone recorded his debut mixtape "Hip Hop Is Dead: Volume 1". Long before Def Jam released anything under that title, Brimstone's mixtape was received with a lot of controversy from the hip hop community for it's bold statement.The mixtape made its way around the city and suburbs, garnering Brimstone a steady following. Throughout 2005 and into 2006, Brimstone played countless shows in the Chicago area, even traveling to Missouri where he was well received by the local crowd.
In the summer of 2006, the government of Zacatecas, Mexico extended Brimstone a special invitation to headline their first annual music festival for the youth. This proved, that even in another country, Brimstone's music had mainstream appeal to it.
Now, in 2008, Brimstone is still playing local and national shows. For the second year in a row, he has played with both Tech N9ne and Afroman on their Chicago tour dates. The new album "WarGames" is slated for release in late Spring 08. The album will be pushed by the party anthem "Still Swayin" which will soon hit radio stations in Chicago. 2008brings forth an evolution in Brimstone in both his music and image. Brimstone will be leading the new sound in hardcore hip hop and blazing trails like many before him.
