I grew up in THE DEARBORN HOMES PROJECTS , I started entertaining since I was a child, dancing all the time , doing talent shows , break dancing etc. with close family & community neighbors . Uniting with JAY R VALENTINO forming the group L.O.S.T. (LOTS OF SERIOUS TALK )we began performing in community functions , talent showcases etc to get noticed as a serious rap group in Chicago which lead me into learning many forms of music ..I then began DJ`ing with top community DJ`s such as : DJ.DEVO ( 4444 state ) , DJ EMMANUEL ( 4800 S STATE ) just to name a few...I then united with many artists who called themselves the CHI- ROCK- NATION in which Chicago`s own D.A. SMART was a member who I later learned true hip hop rapping & culture with under the guidance of pioneer poet/ activist DOCTOR GROOVE who arranged / booked / managed & mentored us in this music/ entertainment along with Chicago`s own THE LEGENDARY TRAXSTER which lead us to be the first rap group to bring hype to Chicago, opening for the great female mc MC LYTE, 227 TV SHOW COMMERCIAL( which was in rotation on Chicago`s major tv stations ).. In 1989 I united with the famous house singer PARIS BRIGHTLEDGE who introduced me to the legendary house music label owner ROCKY JONES who allowed me to meet & learn from the best dance music producers & DJ`s in the world such as : K ALEXIS , DJ/ PRODUCER JOE SMOOTH, MARSHALL JEFFERSON , KOOL ROCK STEADY ( R.I.P. ), THE HOT MIXX 5 ( WBMX.102.7FM RADIO CHICAGO ) , I also learned the art of spinning records from the LEGENDARY RON HARD ( R.I.P. ) who lived in my housing projects..In 2001 I again united with JAY R VALENTINO forming CAVEMAN ENTERTAINMENT ( NOW KNOWN AS BLACK PIRATE PRODUCTIONS) recording my first complete album named : MICROPHOBIA ( HIP HOP / R& B ALBUM ) which I began bringing a great street buzz to my name.In 2005 then united with Chicago`s own underground legend ANT-DUB( from my community projects) In which we began our CD/ DVD TOUR creating a serious buzz in every state we enterted & performed , meeting many professional concert/ club promoters , business owners & great fans who wish great success for us both on our journey to reach the stars in todays entertainment industry..Now bringing years of professional stage , music , film, song writing , wisdom together comes one of Chicago`s greatest stage performers ILLAFLOWS
