thistles throw open like roses

About Me

I was raised in mountains, forests, rivers, bends, pine trees, changing sky. Open space made inlets around my heart so that I could breathe. Sunshine made freckles on my skin and gold in my hair. I now live on the East Coast. The considerable expansion of my life is rising and falling in my chest. I continue to feel movement under my feet.

You can buy my record "Yo Comprendo" from cdbaby , or send me a message and we'll work something out. I also have the Thistles EP, out now. So far it's only available at shows and a few spots in Jamaica Plain, MA. Oh, would you like to be on my mailing list? Send a message here .

Working on recording Thistles LP and a new album. Taking the summer off to travel and be free!

Springtime on the plains.

It feels like summertime in my bedroom. The snow melts into rivers and streams and mudbanks, into fresh mountain runoff all the way from the Sierra slopes. The sun is a little dusty, my heart is a b...

Fall approaches.

This morning the air felt cool and comforting, breezes spied ginger gold apples, the spinning and removing of new beginnings, spiderweb particles rush past my face, the ease of butterflies, tumbling a...

In case anybody forgot.

Today I feel that maybe my life is meaningless, and while I know the things that will make it meaningful, they seem to kind of dart under my feet like rabbits. In a snowstorm. Can't see the path or ...
