I love traveling. I can't remember all the places, but these are what I can remember: New Zealand, Italy, UK, Greece, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, Japan, Taiwan, Canada, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and of course, the only country I'd ever call home.. the USA! When I'm traveling (now with my awesome hubby), I love hiking the great outdoors, scuba diving, spelunking, rock climbing, photography and meeting crazy travelers. But I'd have to say the number one thing I enjoy the most is stuffing my face. Mmmmm... food.
If you're a long-awaited friend that I'm desperately awaiting after tortured years of separation, PLEASE drop me an email. I would love to hear from you again.
Music is part of my soul. I love it all. I recently walked down the aisle to "Le Cygne" by Saint Saens. Listen to it and tell me that's not the most beautiful song in the world. Second place would be "Beau soir" by Debussy. Otherwise, here's a horribly shortened list of my favorites: Jazz (Stan Getz Orchestra, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn), Alternative (Snow Patrol, The Postal Service, The Killers), all 80s (Duran Duran, please!), Danceable Hip Hop and all the amazing Praise CDs from my church, Rock Harbor!
I watch too much HBO in Beijing. It's killing my brain cells. But there's a limited English selection on China TV.
Way too much National Geographic and Discovery Channel. But it's either that or Bloomberg.
I'm a non-fiction gal of late. There is so much to learn in this world and I know so little. I devour books like I devour food (which is quite frightening actually). Travel guidebooks are my current favorite read. They cost way too much, though. I also love the entire Rich Dad series, which I recommend to everybody who wants to be financially independent. My favorite bed-time read is my sweet yellow Bible, which fills your head with good thoughts before you go to sleep. Plus, there's some amazing stuff in there.. highly suggested reading for all.
I never found anybody perfect enough to completely adore. That sounds horrible, doesn't it? I do admire a little bit in everybody, though. Everybody has an undeniably unique quality about them- that's the way we were created!
