Very serendipitous!

About Me

I've been in Denver for about a year and a half; i live with mi flaco and our kiddo, she's the cutey in all the fotos! I go through life exhausted, yet satisfied and even when i wish life was different, i wish it to stay the same. I work with some wonderful people around reproductive justice and have some fabulous friends who challenge my identity and paradigm(s). I strive to live an anti-oppression lifestyle and do my best based on where i am at this moment. I believe forgiving is important and i try to be a better person today than i was yesterday. I try to stay involved in mi comunidad as much as possible and am always persuading people to move to Denver! I am in touch with Miktlan and dream every single night about everything.
Currently, i'm planning my move to a new spot, my house is full of boxes everywhere ;o) I put up my favorite song from the new Immortal Tech CD, some parts are a bit..eh. but i like the overall message...so that's why it's up...ay aver cuando lo cambio
I always leave the karoake thing up...can someone take me goddamnit. I'd like to sing some Gloria Trevi, the Four Non Blondes, Bonnie Taylor, Janis Joplin, Mary J. Blige, Eryka Badu, Lauryn Hill, Joan Jett and/or the Bob. Any takers?
Some little dichos to live by
"I'm hear to: laugh, love, fuck and drink liquor; and make the damn revolution come quicker.... twenty years later I'm still not sleepin, if I'm not involved I feel I ain't breathin', if I can't change this world I ain't leavin, baby, that's the same reason you should call me this evenin'!" - The Coup
"Revolution is a serious thing, the most serious thing about a revolutionary's life. When one commits oneself to the struggle, it must be for a lifetime."- Angela Davis
"I advocate revolutionary changes...an end to capitalist exploitation, the abolition of racist policies, the eradication of sexism and the elimination of political repression. If that is a crime, then I am totally guilty" -Assata Shakur
The reason racism is a feminist issue is easily explained by the inherent definition of feminism. Feminism is the political theory to free all women: women of color, working-class women, poor women, physically challenged women, lesbians, old women, as well as white economically priveleged heterosexual women. Anything less than this is not feminism, but merely female self-aggrandizement." -Barbara Smith
"The women is of great importance to the revolutionary process. She is capable of realizing the most difficult task, of fighting along side the men... To the primitive life of battle, she brings qualities characteristics of her sex and works just as hard as a man... but with a tenderness superior to that of her brothers in arm. Tenderness, how important are in moments of suffering." -Ernesto Guevara
La vida no es lo que vivimos, La vida es el honor y el recuerdo, por eso mas vale morir con el pueblo vivo, y no vivir con el pueblo muerto."

I'd like to meet:

Personas que viven por vivir pero no temen la muerte. Ellas y Ellos quien miran al pasado para guia hace al futuro. Esas/os activistas que no miden su activismo con un solo acto más bien con su vida entera. Ellas y ellos quien tienen cuentos para contar, y experiencia para dar. Ellas y ellos quien con sus pocos años pueden dar luz color indigo. Ultimadamente, quiero conocer a personas que con solo segundos de estar en su presencia tengo el precentimiento de averl@s conocido por milenios.

Books:

I'd like to say i love reading and that i do it all the time and that i finish every book I start, but truth is I don't finish books no matter how good they are, so i'm an anthology/short story reader. I'm in the process of building up my library and contemplating whether to be selfish and keep them all or exchange them with other readers of the like. Books. Authors. Passages. Everything from Gabriel Garcia to George Orwell to Dante to Plato to Acuña to Cisneros to Hooks to Machiavelli to Moraga. At this time, I am reading Incite's 'The Revolution Will Not Be Funded" and since its an anthology, i might get through it!

Heroes:

My She-roes, he-roes, and Ze-roes are All the nameless faces that fight tirelessly to provide for their loved ones day in and day out. Those who have had the courage to speak out against injustice and fought tirelessly for it.
