About Me

God is in control of our lives, and He has a miraculous plan, whether we believe it or not. I believe it. So, I make every effort to live my life in a manner that pleases my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. That means I strive to show love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control during every moment of every day. I make no claims at being so awesome; such attributes are merely my goal. I fall short of such perfection on a pretty regular basis, though not purposely so (usually). It is in my sorrow for wrong-doing that the miracle of forgiveness occurs. It is through my faith in Jesus Christ, who is perfect, that I am redeemed, made holy, and have eternal life. It is in my weaknesses that He is strongest. It is in my failures that I relinquish control to the One who really is in control.
I’m in love with a guy named Nick. He’s pretty sweet for many more reasons than I have time to mention here, but I'll share a few with you. First and foremost, he’s a godly man who loves Jesus. He’s a gentleman. He’s cute and makes me laugh. He likes to play soccer and is into sports in general. Last, but not least, deep down he realizes that the Indians are the best team in MLB even though he won’t say it.
I'm a 7th and 8th grade science teacher at Metro Catholic School in Cleveland. I think teaching is hard work, but I enjoy those moments, however brief, when students’ faces light up from understanding something new about science or life.
I book and promote bands and do band photography for my own company called Starloft. Someday, I will own a music club. I've thought about getting a degree in entertainment law someday. Though, that's more of an interest rather than something I am actively pursuing. I am a programmer on WRUW-FM 91.1. My show, "Resident Rock" features local bands and airs Wednesdays 4-6pm and you should listen to it. I play bass guitar and sing at Scranton Road Bible Church every Sunday morning.
My soccer abilities are feared and often result in bruises and broken bones (my own, not other people’s). My batting average isn't too bad. I kick sand around while Josh plays volleyball. In high school I could bench press my own weight. I weigh too much now. I’m sort of half-heartedly working on that. The Cleveland Indians love me. The Browns are better on TV. I’m a fair-weather CAVS fan. I like laughing until my stomach hurts. That’s just about the best ab workout there is.
I've never been drunk, but I do have a drink once in a while (like once every couple months or so). I don't care for the taste of beer and most liquor reminds me of cough syrup when I was a kid.
I'm a virgin until marriage and unashamed of that fact.
