Live For Today started in 2003 because most of the bands in our town we had no desire to listen to. It was either crappy emo, or lame metalcore. The biggest problem we saw was not the style of music (since we do like all music), but the people in the bands. They were in it for some sort of glory, not for the music, not for any particular message, but to make themselves look cool. As the scene changed so did the crappy bands and the people. Most of those who came in wearing girl pants and polka dot bandanas traded them in for camo shorts, gang mentalities, and tough guy attitudes. In Live For Today while the members changed the band always stayed the same, hardcore punk. We tried our best to keep positive attitudes but never backed down from calling out B.S. when we saw it. So if songs about friendship, faith, sobriety, and believing in yourself are your thing then check us out. We are done now but we still hold true to the ideals we had when we started the band; being yourself, not follow the trends, making a difference in the world around you, and standing up for what is right. So please keep striving to be the change that you want to see in the world.
