No Fair Fights

About Me

No Fair Fights is the child of four ambitious college students chasing their childhood dream of playing music. It all began in February, 2002 with an audition practice. NFF learned covers in order to fill a set at their first show a few weeks later. They continued to play shows and began creating their own music. NFF recorded their first demo entitled “West of Everywhere” in the summer of 2002. The first year was packed with small shows and multiple “battle of the bands”, struggling to get their name out and to get people to come to the shows. With a little hard work and a slew of great songs, the word began to spread about NFF. NFF entered the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, which would earn them a spot on the Ernie Ball stage at the Vans Warped tour in summer 2003. NFF, along with 3 other great bands had the honor of playing at the Warped Tour alongside the bands that had inspired them over the years. After making a killing in CD and shirt sales, NFF headed out to Las Vegas for the New York International Music Festival. NFF’s first time on the road was a great experience. No Fair Fights met with some major record labels and made some new friends just in time to head back to Denver to record their second demo CD dubbed “The Lonely Flier”. Originally meant to contain five songs, the band only had sufficient funds to complete three of them. This effort proved to be NFF’s best work ever, and the band submitted the demo to several record labels and radio stations around the Denver area. Several weeks later, the band heard one of their songs on local radio station KBPI. After some more contacts with Clear Channel were made, the band went down to the studio for an interview which would be aired on KBPI the following week along with the playing of their entire demo. Their songs are still being played on a consistent basis. NFF soon landed some shows in major venues in Denver. After being together for two years, the band is still rocking strong and making a stab at their dreams. Regardless of where their music takes them, No Fair Fights will always be about the music. That’s all that really matters.
