Artistically and creatively driven - love pretty much all genres of music, film, and the arts, and love to read voraciously. Hobbies - If I haven't done it - bring it on!
I'm a musician - guitar, keyboards, singer, and songwriter. Band - Slam Nancy - think early Cheap Trick meets Ramones and Green Day with Muse and The Cure. And I compose classical piano. I'm also a professional photographer - concerts, bands, models, fashion, commercial, ads. Graphic and Web design - always been into doing art and lettering. Film work - acting and scriptwriting.
Travel - I like traveling and exploring new places. Favorite countries I have visited (so far)are: Norway, Trinidad & Tobago (Carribbean), Orinoco Jungle / Angel Falls (Venezuela, South America). Amongst others, I would like to visit: Iceland, the Amazon, Italy, Asia (different parts), Greece, Africa (different parts), and for some reason, Antarctica.
I love going dancing, doing odd stuff on the spur of the moment, hiking, biking, seeing live music of any sort. Holding a cool conversation with someone interesting is always nice.
Who am I looking for? Well... if it's for a relationship, then someone who is fun, witty, honest, smart, sincere, silly, open-minded, yet has her own opinions, and supportive of a creative and artistic mind. Someone who isn't a follower or "yes man" type, but rather an equal. Regarding age... I tend to get along better in going out with someone under 30, as most (not all) over 30's can't, or don't want to, keep up with me. That doesn't mean I would discount anyone on age, but I know what I've been around so far. I've only just begun to still explore what else is out there.
For friends - Anyone who is cool, smart, fun, and can hold an interesting, intelligent conversation. Not into time-wasting small-talk. But yet, someone who can be both silly and serious.
Primarily, I'm here to meet contacts, old friends, some new friends, bands, and anyone who might catch my interest. Please DO contact me if you are - a model, an actor, any creative / artistic type, someone who shares my more passionate interests, a band, a writer, anyone connected with entertainment or media, and anyone who might have something interesting to say, to teach me, or to share. And feel free to contact me if you think that you are genuinely the girl who will take my breath away, sweep me off my feet, and be able to keep up with me.
Please DO NOT contact me if - you are just looking to add new friends to fill a quota (it's quite obvious that I have enough), or if you are just looking for small talk, or if you are someone who really has nothing in common with me short of a generalized interest in something. I am not interested in random chatting, as much as cultivating quality friendships and great working relationships. And please, read the profile before assuming anything. I think I'm rather obvious with who I am and what I'm into. To my old friends from way back when - I'm totally looking forward to hearing from you and swapping stories about where we've all come around to.
Some more thoughts to share -
If you always complain about drama or issues, chances are that you are the cause of it - either by thoughts, words, or choices. Think about what you attract.
You get what everyone gets. You get a lifetime. - "Death"
- by Neil Gaiman
We're all going to die. In an hour. A day. A hundred years from now. It's something we all share and should accept. Once you get over the fear of that paticular unknown, and you resolve your issues, then can you get on with the business of actually living your life. Whether for an hour or thousands of hours - what you do with that time is what makes you. If you can't be positive, at least be productive.

"Evil" is a manifestation of Man declared as an opposition to anything that another wants you to do - as doctrined by any particular diety of that society's belief. If "evil" is imperfect... and a perfect God created evil (or allows it to exist)... then the math does not work. If God offers us choices, then why do our laws not allow the same choices? We are ultimately responsible for our own actions. Just as many people commit acts of "evil" in the name of God, as they do acts of good. We just call the evil people "sick" and good people "socially conscious." This is a good way to point a finger of blame elsewhere, and shows the true shallowness of humanity. Be good, or be bad, but ultimately be yourself and blame no one else.

Democracy does not work in an uneducated lethargic society.

If God is so powerful and omnipotent, then let Him fight his own battles and destroy his own enemies.

What manner of being is so insecure that it requires constant praise, tithing, and sacrifice from such tiny creatures as us? The very concept of religious deities are a manifestation of man's own fears and need to find a "reason to be."

Those who support George W. Bush and believe that we should support our elected President - "right or wrong"... You might find that that same "conquering king" mentality didn't work out so well for Hitler, or his supporters in the 1940s either. History has a way of repeating itself. One would hope that lessons are learned early enough to prevent fates from being repeated or shared in the end.

Totally varied interests. Punk, jazz, rock, classical, 1920s hot jazz, acid jazz, house, trip-hop, dance, big band, industrial, lounge, Gregorian chant, emo, swing, etc. You get the picture. Did I mention country? No? HA! There's a reason.

A LOT. Basically, if it's performed well, then I like it.
Primarily psychological dramas and dark thrillers, as well as court dramas, quirky comedies, and intelligent horror movies. Anything that makes me think, or has somewhat intelligent humor. I like the occasional mindless comedy once in a great while. I think that Michael Crichton and John Grisham are both geniuses, as is Joss Whedon for his clever approaches.
Fave films: "Usual Suspects," "The Crow," "Serenity," "Snatch," "What The Bleep Do We Know?," "Chronicles Of Narnia," "Grandmas's Boy," "The Darkness," "The Transporter," "Oceans 12," "League Of Extraordinary Gentleman," "Dude, Where's My Car," "The Italian Job," "Better Off Dead," "Mr. Frost," "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" (David Bowie's finest film), "Nightmare Before Christmas," Talk Radio," "Dark City," and more. Oh, and I have to admit my past of obsessing on the "Fletch" movies. Nothing used to beat Chevy Chase for dry sarcasm.
In TV - thought I don't really watch much, I used to watch "X-Files" religiously. More recently, I had really gotten into Sci-Fi Channel ("Lexx" and "Farscape" - two of the lustiest shows on TV) and TNT (love "Law & Order," "Charmed," "NYPD Blue," and "Angel"), and also am into "Stargate SG-1". Also watch Discovery, History Channel, and Comedy Central here and there.
I read anything and everything (even product ingredients... hehe). My main interests lie in non-fiction and reference books, as well as suspense, unexplained phenomena, and short stories. Favorite authors: Michael Schermer, P.J. O'Rourke, Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Alan Dean Foster. I think that Michael Crichton and John Grisham are both geniuses.
Magazines: Discovery, Popular Science, MacAddict, Maxim, Stuff, FHM, Mental_Floss, Mojo, Q.
Anyone who has taken little, and yet made much of their lives. I am not really so "icon" and "idol" interested, but two people I would love to chat with are Mick Jagger and David Bowie for how they took their arts, furthered them, and made financial empires out of entertainment and business.
