Gary Davis, John Hammond Jr., Dave Van Ronk, Mike Seeger, The Country Gentlemen, The Bluegrass Boys, Ian and Sylvia, Tom Rush, Frank Sinatra, Big Al Dupress and Gerry Mulligan.

As you can see, my taste runs to non-fiction and the fiction I read is not the sort ot thing included in the Great Books of the Western World.
To be honest, I've never managed to get thru a work of fiction by any of the recognized big name authors. Though I've tried my level best the fact is that Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Faulkner, etc etc put me to sleep.
