About Me

After a year of writing material and collaborating with local artists, ShadowView has officially released their Debut EP “Searchlights” on February 10th, 2007. ShadowView’s music can be described as radio friendly alternative rock. With a successful CD release party, featuring local acts Safari So Good and Bridges and a Bottle . The band was able to raise $300 for the American Red Cross. Thanks to all who came out and supported the cuase. ShadowView is set to perform on WITF Television on February 28th at 7:00pm. The program entitled “Life Styles,” will include segments about Central Pennsylvania culture and entertainment.ShadowView has been together since June 2004. They have performed many live shows in the Harrisburg metropolitan area, at such venues as The Harrisburg Hardware Bar, Gullifty’s Underground, The Crimson Frog and The Dickinson College Depot. They have shared the stage with local favorites: A Utopian Skyline , Bridges and a Bottle , Condition K , Disingaged , and Safari So Good .The Searchlights EP was recorded with the multitalented Gary Greyhosky at Progressive Enterprises Studios in Hershey, PA. After a few pre-production sessions with the band, Greyhosky worked with ShadowView to take the songs to the next level sonically and brought them into the studio. The band and Greyhosky together produced and engineered five songs with catchy hooks, strong choruses and rhythmic melodies sure to please a wide range of audiences.“ShadowView’s name is described by the band as reflective of their writing style; just as your shadow is something which you can never escape and which continues to follow you wherever you go, the band hopes that their lyrics will do the same thing and invoke the same sorts of feelings. The band writes their songs as if from the perspective of a shadow, and hopes that their lyrics will affect people to the point that they will keep them with them, like a shadow watches over a person”.
