**reading** all and everything that passes my way, currently on a bit of an Anais Nin/Henry Miller outing with a nice bit of beat poetry thrown in for good measure.**Adventures** the latest have been mostly generated by New York, carrering wildly around the capital making friends with free givers of weed (Beautiful), streetwalk artists who drew me free and gave me tea, and all the many and various beautiful folk at La Mama. **photography** **performance** watching it for sure (as long as it doesn't include anything 'edgy' such as video screens or random nudity) is always a treat. whether or not i enjoy Being part of performance is currently under question. I'll get back to you on that one. Cats. I like cats.
Designers, composers, dancers and performers who like to take risks. But apart from that; people who are interested in finding an alternative way of life, people who are living an alternative way of life. Nice folks who are up for a wild, bachanael adveture. Oh, and anyone who appreciates the value of a nice cup of tea and a spliff (tiff).
My music taste tends to go through phases; currently can't live without good ol' bob dylan (thanks to all the folks on the farm for the introduction) and mr johnny cash. the arcade fire, sigur ros, animal collective, jolie holland, tom waits, velvet underground, nico, bonny prince billy, clap your hands say yeah!, gogol bordello, four tet, dj shadow akira the don, massive attack, selected bits of leonard cohen, john martyn, cat stevens, boards of canada, all of the smiths and most of nick drake are all riding the heady wave of enjoyment. Per Ubu however, still remains number 1 top of the tree for me.
2046, spirited away, mean streets, Dr Strangelove, dark days (beautiful documentary), fear and loathing in las vegas, brazil, happiness, dancer in the dark, battle royal,...many more but you get the general idea. or you don't. one of the two.
no
almost all and everything by jack kerouac (aside from Big Sur which I find too sad to read just now), really getting into Mr. Miller, tropic of cancer. Anais Nin (hoorah! the thinking woman's porn!), Milan Kundera, James Joyce, Samuel Beckett, Borges, Pablo Neruda, e.e cummings, burrows, bits and pieces of Audous Huxley. anything by Hunter S. Thompson but most especially 'fear and loathing' and 'the rum diaries'. Paul Theroux, Iain banks, gabriel garcia marquez, salman rushdie. All sorts.
