I am here for Friends

About Me

I was born in Indiana and "migrated" south to Texas where we love our football! I really am not a Texan at heart, I am NOT one of those proud yee-haw types. I do not own a horse or a cowboy hat, nor do I wear Wranglers or ropers. I would LOVE to move up north where there is actually a winter; someday. I have a blended family of 6; Jessica, 19 in Mexico; Bobby 17 & Stephanie 16 joint with their dad; Carlos, 15; Trinity, 4 and Rutger, 3. I am fortunate enough to stay home and raise the little ones. Trinity LOVES going to the zoo, museum or aquarium. Rutger just likes to go. I will probably talk A LOT about the little ones. Both have some medical issues; having been diagnosed with NF1 (neurofibromatosis type 1). Trinity is going through speech therapy. A routine MRI found an optic glioma (growth) on Rutger's right optic nerve. He now receives chemo treatments 1x/mo; so he has little down time compared to weekly treatments and he's tough like his "Da" so he tries to play it off. Please visit Rutger's page to learn more. Because of his diagnosis he attends pre-school for special needs children 3 hrs a day. He really enjoys going to school.Myspace Graphics

My Interests

Movies, music, expanding my knowledge of sign and Spanish, taking my little ones on outings to the Dallas Zoo or Fair Park.

I'd like to meet:

...that is a hard one. I tend to be hermit; that is my sinful nature. I enjoy outings with my kids. I love watching their faces when they learn or see something new. We often go to the museum, zoo or aquarium. So, to answer the question who I'd like to meet... I need to work on growing in the relationships I already have before I try to venture out and "replace" my current friends.

Music:

Stain'd, Metallica, Stone Sour, FLS, Alicia Keys, Al Green, the Doors, Sublime, Red Hot Chili Peppers (where is it Drew?), U2, Pumpkins, Marilyn Manson, gospel, classical, Enya, the Cranberries, Disturbed, Korn, System of a Down, Alice in Chains I could probably go on and on-

Movies:

Armeggedon, Office Space, Clerks, Children of Men, Steel Magnolias, Tombstone, Crash, Se7en, Fern Gully, Pulp Fiction, Braveheart, LOTR, Ferris Bueller, Full Metal Jacket, Harry Potter series, Indiana Jones, Interview with a Vampire, Snatch, Lucky Number Slevin...blah, blah, blah. I love movies! NO PORN! NO WESTERNS!
