About Me

Bonjour people, Im Rick, Originally from Jersey but now living in Portsmouth where I have graduated from my Architecture Degree. As good as it is being a student its nice to graduate. Im now lingering in Portsmouth slowly joining the working world full time. I haven't got very far with this yet as I've been living-up the summer, enjoying the pompy sun, going to the beach, gigs, festivals, parties and pretty much anything else that involves having fun and living life to the full. This has to be my most eventfull summer in many years, mananged to do most things I've been trying to do for the last 4 years in just 3 months, quality. The way I look at, and live life is very much influenced by the practice of Zen, the practices of the Dalai Lama and the teachings of the Buddha. I obviously don’t live like a Buddhist or spend all my time meditating, although do when it’s needed. I observe the teachings apply some of the practices and adapt them to our modern world of living. The most problematic of all in our world is the overactive mind of emotion leading to the life of worry/stress, as I always say ‘One should not worry, Just Care and be aware’. The development of modern living complicates the most simple of matters in life, simplifying these gives us a clear vision, seeing the beauty in the smallest of details, the details we commonly miss in this world.

My Interests

Cooking nice food and drinking Guinness is what keeps me alive, My love for music keeps me sane, mountain biking (with my beautiful Specialized Enduro) helps me stay fit and gets me out the stinking city air. Playing with my fire toys is just pure fun (who doesn’t like playing with fire?!) And spending time with friends, well just couldn't live without that.
