About Me

Benny The Moth & The Erogenous Zones are a collective of vocalists and musicians that decided to form a band in early 2004 after recording a mini album in a 2 week experiment on the back of long lasting friendships and the wildest partys south of Albions fair shores. Hailing from the idyllic pastures of the Channel Islands, home of chartered accountants, surf, potatoes, Durrell Zoo and 150,000 alcoholics clinging to a rock, theres certainly more to this part-British, part Portuguese, part Swedish and part Polish boy-girl 6 piece than meets the eye. All set to charm their way into your hearts and undergarments in 2008, they have released perhaps the first unique and endearing record to catch your ears this year.Fusing elements of latin, soul, folk, rock and reggae into one deliciously sexy package is what BTM & The EZ’s do best; delivering a unique crossover, genre blending, multi instrumental and multi national sound that falls somewhat bizarrely between the Go Team meets the Mamas & The Papas knocking back tequila and doing the twist with Santana in a dirty Mexican bar. It is a sentimental and nostalgic ride of vibrant and occasionally frantic excitement, sparked from the golden influences of classic song writing and bursting with charm and melodies so catchy they’ll have you twitching with joy long after they have left your speakers.Having gained recognition in the Islands at club and charity shows, they have twice been selected to perform at the Jersey Live Festival in the Channel Islands which saw them gain support from the likes of Razorlight, The Subways, Delays, The Twang and The Enemy for their sexy folk grooves and aside from a brief mention on Radio1, they have also won online awards with Garageband, featured live on BBC 1 documentary ‘The White Label Sessions’ and support a host of established and upcoming artists such as Delays, Herbaliser, Alabama 3, Joe Driscoll and Vincent Vincent & The Villians. This is Bennys self produced and financed debut album, inviting you to experience the most colourful sounds and senses of the Island vibration, in a liberating hip shaking soiree of good times, freedom and friendship…you can buy the album at Piccadily Records in Manchester, Borderline Records in Brighton and White Label Records in Jersey. For all bookings / enquiries please contact [email protected] or call +44(0)7797841720 You should create your own MySpace Layouts like me by using nUCLEArcENTURy .COM's MySpace Profile Editor !

Sounds Like:Watching this band perform is a real experience...their songs are unique and original...a sound all of their own.'' Ryan Morrison, BBC Jersey 2006"Sounds like the Go Team meets the Mamas & The Papas doing the twist with Santana in a dirty Mexican bar." JL07''This song has great hook to it. The melody and rhythm are insanely good. These guys are really cool..''- dj_eggnog (Garageband review of 'Downtown') San Jose, California April 17th, 2006''One reason why the melody is so attractive, is the vocals. The female backing vocals are sooo nice!!! Fantastic! Beautiful! Lovely!!!''- O_K (Garageband review of 'Downtown') London/U.K. Ylivieska/Finland, Finland April 20th, 2006''This has kind of a motown feel to it. Good love makin' music for sure! I like the change to the reggae feel around the 1:00 mark. Kind of reminds me a little bit of Indie.Arie. the melody is good, the rhythm is great.'' - PaxTempest (Garageband review of 'Downtown') Bloomington, Indiana - April 22nd, 2006
