Music junkie. I do a little fanzine called El Diablo. If anyone is interested it's full of rockin' good bands (well I would say that) and you can contact me here through myspace. After the mighty computer crash of 2008 that left me with nothing of issue three I've started from scratch. So it's all change and number three will now feature interviews with:- The Levellers, The Lucky Devils, 4PM, Elvis Suicide, The Hold Up, Los Difuntos, Utah Philips, Dirty Love, The Leatherettes and the Stellar Corpses.
It's more a natural thing. If I know you from elsewhere then I may add you. If I don't then I can't see it happening.
Bands---I’m interested in hearing what you have. Message me first with a link though and if I like what I hear I’ll contact you. El Diablo the fanzine is quite eclectic. If I like it then it could be featured.
If I haven’t contacted you then don’t consider that I’ve just forgotten, or haven‘t gotten around to it. It’s simple. Work it out for yourself.
Racists, homophobes and fundamentalists of any religion offend me. There will be nothing here that will interest you. Simple as that. So if you wander here by mistake, then just keep walking.
I had a big list of bands here, but what’s the point really? I like music with attitude. The stuff that gets the juices flowing. Johnny Cash, The Ramones, The Clash, Billie Holliday, The Meteors, New York Dolls, AC/DC, Ray Charles, The Dwarves, Alice Cooper, The Cramps, Hanoi Rocks, The Termites, Hank Williams, David Bowie, Maria McKee, Hoodoogurus, Hamell on Trial.
Guillermo Del Toro, Tarantino, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Luc Besson, Tim Burton, Terry Gilliam. Old Universal Horror films have a certain style to them. One flew over the cuckoos nest is an all time favourite. Hedwig and the angry inch should’ve been a mainstream hit. Cape Fear (Original), The Machinist, Fight Club, To kill a mockingbird, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Blah, blah, blah. The list could go on and on.
Means little to me. I'd rather watch a film. Although I do like Sons of Anarchy and True Blood at the moment.
Are they the things with words in them? Yeah, I've read a few. George Orwell, Mark Billingham, Ben Elton (crap comedian and should be hung for the Queen musical, but his books are good), Colin Bateman, Charles Bukowski, Christopher Brookmyre, Ian Banks (but not his Sci-Fi novels), Kurt Vonnegut, Junkie and Queer by Burroughs, not too keen on any of his others. Loads of biographies. No More Heroes, Makes you wanna spit, The secret life of a teenage punk rocker, Please Kill Me.
Anyone who makes a difference. Big or small. It's the doing it that counts.
