The Willows

Like an hour glass on a scale

About Me

The Willows evolved from the remnants of several other groups in and around the Boston music scene. The name is a reference to an entertainment park on the coast of Salem, MA where the local kids gather from Spring through Fall (Salem Willows Park). The songs dip into several genres while maintaining a unique and primitive sound - a little alt-country, americana, rock mix up if you will. The band released a self titled album in 2006 and followed up with their sophmore effort, See You Next April in 2007. The "April" record is a bigger better version of the band in that they explore new routes(some more aggressive) and incorporate other musicians from the local scene in various backing roles. Keep your eyes peeled and enjoy what you hear. There is live footage and merch available at myscenelive.com
