Music:

Well this could go into great depth. Perhaps I'll discuss the evolution of my tastes; from the early days of Europe (Its the final countdown!) and Huey Lewis and the News, to my misguided turn into Country, then my salvation when I discovered Pearl Jam...but evolution is such a long, drawn out process, none of us need to hear about that. Rather lets just say my tastes are quite broad. True, my favorites are Pearl Jam and Ben Harper, but I've really been digging the sounds of The Black Keys lately, as well as Gomez, and Horses and Trucks...but I have a deep appreciation for Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Aerosmith, Ray Charles, R.E.M., Led Zeppelin and others...and sometimes you just need some Rage Against the Machine. I'm generally a fan of the hippie jam bands. I really like a lot of the stuff Faithless has put out. Zero7 is fun. When in the mood I can go crazy with Bluegrass, love the stringed instruments. Also lately I've been getting into a lot of World music. I love African vocals and tribal beats. Most any of the Putumayo series are excellent. Try African Odyssey or Acoustic Brazil.

Movies:

I am a big fan of the historical epic films, titles such as Braveheart, Gladiator and Last of the Mohicans come to mind as favorites. I'm also into a lot of the Asian films, like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, House of Flying Daggers, Hero, etc. Jackie Chan is the man, most of his movies are fun to watch. I am generally a big fan of the Kevin Smith movies. Dogma was great. Here's a great movie many haven't seen; check out Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead. Fantastic!

Books:

It seems over the past 5-6 years I've been reading pretty exclusively science and nature books...what can I say, I'm a nerd. I like almost anything by David Quammen, Barry Lopez and a couple others. In a former life I was really into science fiction.
