My Interests

Backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, surfing, gardening, pretty much anything outdoors. I love photography, though I won't profess to being exceptional at all. I'm still into the old-school, non-photoshopped film sort of photography. I imagine I'll eventually convert and follow the rest of the world into digital, but right now I'm still enjoying paying a fortune to have my film processed :-)

I'd like to meet:

Some pics from Hollywood & Halloween.

Music:

I never get tired of Ani DiFranco. Other than that, I'm all over the place when it comes to musical taste.

Movies:

Rabbit-Proof Fence, Chocolat, Garden State, Little Miss Sunshine, Love Actually, most films by Focus Features. I tend to love dramas that make me cry, any dancing movie no matter how terrible the acting, and yes, those cheesy girl movies.

Television:

I grew up without a TV in the house, and wish that meant I never watch TV, but alas, 'tis not the case. I won't embarass myself by admitting what shows I've been suckered into watching.

Books:

My absolute favorite: The Poisonwood Bible, by Barbara Kingsolver. Prodigal Summer, by the same author. I haven't read any of her books, but I love Anna Quindlen's political & social commentaries in Newsweek. I Am Charlotte Simmons, by Tom Wolfe. Still Life With Woodpecker, by Tom Robbins. Currently I'm reading Emile, by Rousseau, but it's slow going because I've been distracted by, well, lots of things.
