Anything by David Lynch, Alfred Hitchcock, or Stanley Kubrick...GODS of film. I enjoy some Speilberg films. Also "Le Charme Discret de la Bourgeoisie" by Luis Bunuel and "Le Chien Andalou" by Bunuel/Dali are great among other Bunuel films. Stan Brackage is great too. (Thanks Schibby) And 'Naked Lunch' by David Cronenberg.
Also films of Robert Zemeckis: Cast Away, Contact, Forrest Gump, Back To The Future, etc. Beetlejuice, Wizard of Oz, LOVE them. I also love period films: Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, etc. And you can't go wrong with a good comedy: 40-year-old-Virgin, Ferris Bueller, Groundhog Day, and many more.
The Office and House. TWO BEST SHOWS ON TELEVISION WITHOUT QUESTION. South Park - Best Cartoon ever. I also like SNL reruns and the occasional reality trash including the Real World and the Soup. Who could forget the Daily Show and Colbert Report!? Wow...that's too much TV. Bob...you're to blame. :)
