Band Members: Jack Hutchinson is a 24 year old London-based singer-songwriter whose songs ring with the thoughfulness and truth of classic songwriters such as Neil Young, Gram Parsons and Jackson Browne, yet finds a modern classicism with echoes of Neal Casal, the Black Crowes, Elliott Smith, Iron and Wine and Ed Harcourt. Over the course of the past ten years he has be honing his craft playing in a variety of bands, finally settling into the Electric Psychedelic String Band as lead guitarist in 2003 whose first performance was as support for Radio 1 favourites Four Day Hombre. His current album Return to Sender displays an honesty and emotional depth that has become the mainstay of meaningful songwriting, already receiving positive reviews from Channel 4 and Americana UK. Using life-experience, from love, happiness and joy through to tragedy and loss, with the buzz of lost summers along a beatnik highway, his songs resonate with lyrics and understated guitar playing we can all somehow relate to. His forthcoming second album is due 2007.
