Filming like ya mean it. Warbirds, mostly from 1928-1952. Fine scotch, 12y+. Good finishes on the scotches are better, port, sherry, ect. Artistic people who are serious enough to make a living out of it. Not that making cash makes something more real than...oh, you get the idea. People who try to take care of themselves. People who know they are fucked in the head. Extrasolar planet hunting. Hot Chicks.
Not people who think the lottery is a viable retirement option, or own dogs and live in tiny apartments. It sounds very cliche, but I like to meet those who don't just sit on the sideline...and hot chicks. Smokin' hot chicks.

All over the map: Peter Gabriel, Floyd, John Williams, Pink, Danny Elfman (both his scores and Oingo Boingo), Joe Satriani, The Corrs, Johnny Cash, Hans Zimmer, Flogging Molly, INXS (with Michael Hutchenson), The Pogues, JP & the Chatfield Boys, and on and on.
The more romantic, the better. Not in the whole "holding hands" sort of way. Stories on a big canvas with some substance. A good list for me would be the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Close Encounters, Blade Runner, The Searchers, Lawrence of Arabia, 300, Jaws... I like a good, snappy film like Snatch and Raising Arizona also. I like and respect any film that isn't afraid of being what it wants to be. If the filmmakers look like they're hedging their bets, I lose interest.I have no favorite film. All of them are flawed. Many more than others. I have favorite scenes. Scenes where the rest of the film has done a good job, leading you up to that moment. A moment where visuals, emotion, sound & music just simply work. Just to blow away whatever opinion you were forming, here's some more favorites; Buckaroo Banzai, Band of Brothers, Patton, Fletch, Weird Science, The Empire Strikes Back, Office Space, Rushmore, and Young Frankenstein. Oh, and something bad should happen to Michael Bay.
Family Guy, Simpsons, Firefly, Adult Swim, History Channel docs, reruns of M*A*S*H, Browns football, earlier episodes of the West Wing, Sports Night...
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way, The Demon Haunted World, Contact, Riding Rockets, a biography on Neil Armstrong, Never Stuff Your Dog.
Veterans, my parents, people making it happen.
