So lets see about me... Fun, Outgoing, talkative, socialite ~ the social butterfly! I have some of the greastest friends you could ask for!! I have a big heart and care deeply and passionately about a lot of different things from politics to friends and everyday things. I love to learn, live, and laugh. Love being outside. Love going to concerts when they come to town or close enough to drive to. I love going out just to hang with my friends. I love to dance, ski, roller skate, ice skate, bowl, camp, swim, play sports even though I suck at them, and shop. Anything thats gets me moving and out and about. I am someone that wants to enjoy life, take in all it has to offer and just have fun. I love to travel and explore the world when I can. I have been to Canada, Mexico, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Holland, and France. It's a lifetime goal to travel the world. I am a sports nut ~ basketball, (Duke, WVU, Texas Tech, Wake, OSU) football (WVU, OSU, USC) MLB (Yankees baby! Cincy and White Soxs) NFL (Patriots, Jets, Jacksonville) NHL (San Jose, Anaheim "Mighty" Ducks), tennis, and world cup soccer.
I am a graduate student at Marshall University pursuing a Masters in Political Science. I intend on furthering my education with either another Masters in Criminal Justice Administration or on to law school. I am very involved in student organizations on campus. I am in Student Government, Phi Alpha Delta Pre Law Fraternity, Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honorary, College Republicans, Alpha Phi Omega Co-Ed Community Service Fraternity and formerly a member of the Xtreme Fear Club (XFC) and Model UN. With these organizations, I do a lot of community service projects around the area esp at Marshall raising money for breast cancer, ms, hunger drives, and Habitat for Humanity. These groups have made my college experience even more memorable as well as formed lasting friendships!
Some fav quotes:
"I suppose that if the more than one million mountains in West Virginia were leveled flat, the state would reach all the way to Texas. In any event, its boundaries extend farther north than Pittsburgh, farther south than Richmond -- the capital of the Old Confederacy -- as far east as Buffalo, New York, and as far west as Columbus, Ohio. It is the most southern of the northern and the most northern of the southern; the most eastern of the western and the most western of the eastern. It is where the East says good morning to the West, and where Yankee Doodle and Dixie kiss each other good night! It is the state that is 'wild and wonderful' and 'almost heaven,' with its beautiful hills and its law-abiding, God-fearing, and patriotic people."
~ Robert C Byrd, United States Senator, (D) West Virginia
"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born, it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, beer, and country music. It's being hospitable, devoted to screen porches, magnolias, red velvet cake, Coca-Cola...and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way."
