You're the time keeper. You're the studs behind the drywall. You usually just back up the guitars but every now and then you bust out a solo of your own and everyone loves it. You're not really recognized enough and you don't get the credit you should. Oh well, shit happens.

" Music is extremely powerful.. it has the power to carry you to a different place and time, transport you into another's emotions, and look deeper inside yourself. It's an emotional language. For me, music is the only thing that can pull things I could never express straight from my chest and help me realize things about myself I wouldn't have otherwise. Not just the words, but the melodies and harmonies and very structures of the songs I'm listening to can have the same effect. The beauty and soul of a song has the same effect as someone drawing blood from my veins. It pulls emotions from inside me that would have no other way of coming to the surface. It can make you feel powerful, sad, brave, confused, heartbroken, or just content in the simplicity of knowing that the sun is shning and it's a beautful day outside. Music will be interpreted differently by different people. My example, Fix You/Coldplay... beautiful song. Makes you feel hopeful, sad, and peaceful at the same time. That's just the melody though.. listen to the amazing words, and it pours a story of heartbreak and hope straight into your soul. For one person I know, that song represents a broken relationship, another- renewed friendship, and another- her stillborn baby. Extremely different interpretations of one song. One person's interpretation of their own emotions turned into an outlet for the feelings of millions of other people.. it's a beautiful process. It allows people to show each other their vulnerable sides without taking too much risk. If you show someone a song that means something to you, you're showing part of yourself, without going into too much detail and exposure. Music will never cease to amaze me.
