I don't care what we do, where we go, how we get there - we can drive, we can walk, we can sit here.

About Me

I think of myself as a true individual, and I don’t fit the typical stereotypes. I keep people guessing, but not intentionally – most people just can’t quite figure me out. I used to be pretty shy, but not so much anymore. I love to do things that most people think are insane. Spontaneous road trips to ride roller coasters or go to the beach are not uncommon. I like to do the unexpected as much as possible, because it makes me feel more alive. I try to live life to the fullest every day so that I don't look back and wonder why I didn't live more or do things that I wanted to do. Some of the happiest days in my life have been days that I decided to take a trip at the last second, put some stuff in a bag and ran out the door. I’m not afraid to take risks – I thrive on them actually!Although I live in Atlanta, I try to travel as much as possible. I'm usually gone at least one weekend out of every month, sometimes more. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the world in the next few years. It is something that I've put off for way too long.
I love music, and it has been a big part of my life since I was a kid. I sort of retired from DJing in the club world, but I still enjoy the feeling of lifting someone’s spirits with music. Check out my Pandora stations if you want to get a feel for what I listen to. Good luck trying to find any pattern. My iPod has changed my life, and it basically goes everywhere that I go. I love to listen to music in the car, and I love road trips. For me, music makes driving more fun, and I don’t think about the time as much.
I believe things happen in our lives because we attract them to ourselves. This is a concept that I really want to get my head around so I can apply it more in my daily life. I recently met the most incredible person ever, and despite the distance between us, I can always smile when I think about the times when we are together. See, I’m smiling now. :)

My Interests

Music, Rollercoasters and Amusement Parks, Listening to Music on Rollercoasters (yes I do this, hehe), Cars, Guys, Nightlife, Travel, the Environment, Shopping, Road Trips, Lofts, History, etc. Did I mention Music?

I'd like to meet:

People who have a similar grit and determination as I do, but also know to have a good time. I love being around people that aren't afraid to do something silly AND admit it to others. I like people who share my sarcastic wit and enjoy turning less than ideal situations into sources of entertainment. Basically, anyone who is not jaded to the point that they cannot crack a smile and laugh at themselves from time to time.

Music:

Save Internet Radio!

Last year, I discovered Angels & Airwaves , and as far as I'm concerned, everyone should stop what they are doing, buy the album, listen to it, and then resume their life with an altered perspective. Music has the power to heal us, and this album has some of the most powerful aural healing that I have ever heard. What I spin and what I listen to outside of clubs is usually very different. I love spinning House - particularly stuff remixed by Kaskade, Little Louie Vega, Eric Kupper, Maurice Joshua, Lee Cabrera, Jacques Lu Cont, Benji Candelario, Francios K, etc. Outside of spinning, I listen to a bunch of shit! This list could go on forever, but here are some highlights: Annie Lennox, David Gray, Cocteau Twins, Yellowcard, Angels & Airwaves, Sugarcult, Aztec Camera, Cause & Effect, Death Cab For Cutie, Styrofoam, Shiny Toy Guns, Everything But The Girl, George Michael, INXS, Kaskade, Michael Buble, Sarah McLachlan, Eliane Elias, Pink Floyd, Howie Day, Coldplay, Travis, Caia, Royksopp, Justin, The Postal Service, Daft Punk, Delerium, Tears For Fears, Dead Can Dance, Sigur Ros, MAW, and so many more that I'd be typing all night...

Movies:

Les Miserables, Crash, Munich, T3, Bugsy, y tu mama tambien, Chocolat, U-571, Silence of The Lambs, Mean Girls, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Office Space

Television:

Not a big TV person, but I occasionally tune in. Family Guy, Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Sex And The City, The Weather Channel, various Discovery and History channel shows, The West Wing (RIP).

Books:

...

Heroes:

My 96 year old grandmother (may she rest in peace), my friend Hue for living life like he wants to and not putting up with bullshit, David Gray for having more soul and passion that I could ever hope to muster. All the amazing musicians of the world that create masterpieces for the world to enjoy without sacrificing their integrity in the process.
