Meine Stadt ist mein Licht....Meine Stadt holt ihren Mann Heim

About Me

Moving through life has certainly been a journey for me. An Atlanta native (thats right, I am a rare & 100% authentic Georgia Peach!) I grew up in a single parent home. As I was a strange but innovative child, my loving mother never tried to extinguish my light. Being an individual of such a diverse background - I never fit in with a particular group of people. It was a tough road learning to accept my unique characteristics but today I embrace them. Always the dreamer my imagination ran and continues to run wild. At 10 years of age, I began to design clothing. That following year I discovered the power of poetry and creative writing. At the age of 15, after 3 years of teen angst, my art teacher Mrs. Dodys encouraged me to take my talents as a sketch artist seriously. Starting out as a fashion major, I quickly changed my major to Spanish and International Business. As I feel that art is in the heart and it cannot be taught. I thank the Creator that I had the chance to travel and live abroad for it has shaped my character and taught me many things about life and love. The Most High has blessed me with the strange art of communication. I say strange because I believed for so long that I was so bad expressing myself! However, I am able to pick up foreign languages so easily. I know not much - but what I do know God wants me to share with the world. Life has brought me many places & many experiences...I want to bring to you something that you can walk away with. I want to bring hope. No matter what your life has been like, no matter what you have done or what has been done to you...know that there is hope and that love prevails. This is me. The writer, the fashion designer, the sketch artist. Welcome to my mind.
My Personality
I am dependable, popular, and observant.
Deep and thoughtful, I am prone to moodiness.
In fact, my emotions tend to influence everything I do.
I am unique, creative, and expressive.
I don't mind waving my freak flag every once and a while.
And lucky for me, most people find my weird ways charming! The following slide show displays some of my sketches... Get Your Own! | View Slideshow

My Interests

I only wish to express myself eloquently and pass on the knowledge that I acquire in my journey.

"People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within." – Ramona Anderson

Women's Edge

The WomenÍs Edge Coalition, a non-partisan organization, was created in 1998 to advocate for the needs of millions of women and poor people around the world left destitute and desperate by unfair trade policies. The Coalition offers positive alternatives to current policies and pushes for innovative aid programs to ensure women around the world are not forgotten and in fact given access to the trade negotiation process. By revising the process of economic and trade negotiations, both trade promoters and the world's poorest women and people benefit.

I am an Exotic Beauty!
No matter what my ethnic background, I've got a unique look
And my one of a kind beauty makes an imprint in every man's mind
I hardly ever wear the same outfit twice, and my hair is always changing
As a result, my look is always new and fresh - never outdated or stale

I'd like to meet:

I am only anxious to meet the King of Kings.

"Life and Jah are one in the same. Jah is the gift of existence. I am in some way eternal, I will never be duplicated. The sigularity of every man and woman is Jah's gift. What we struggle to make of it is our sole gift to Jah. The process of what that struggle becomes, in time, the Truth." ~ Bob Marley

Music:

The music I subject myself to says a lot about who I am and what I believe. I listen to Söhne Mannheims, Joy Denalane, Goapele, Amel Larrieux, Metaphysics, Joi, Bob Marley, Damian Marley, Xavier Naidoo, Billy Holiday, Ladybug Mecca and Erykah Badu to name a few. As Metaphysics would say...some of these artists of today take the hip out of the hop and the poetry out of rap leaving us with only and.

Me in my element...
