Having heard the genius of Mitch Benn and Bill Bailey, James Earnshaw who attends the Lorien Trust Role Play events decided that comedy was the way forward. Being an established song writer already James decided that he would write songs to appeal mainly to the role players at the events.
Along the way he recruited long time friend and singer Gemma Simpson to supply vocals for the times when James's voice would not be appropriate (And NO that doesn't mean all of the time!). This grew into a partnership for this project and by the second CD another kindered spirit was added to the sound - Gill Whitehurst, singer song writer extraordinare. Who provided the raven Trilogy...Raven, Try Again & Spell and performed backing vocals for other songs on the CD's. Gill has just returned from Germany doing a 'tour' of the country and learning the lingo
And now cometh the time of the Elf, Alatairë Mórë or as we know him, Paul Heeley has now joined the Collective with some fresh ideas and a helping hand with the guitar.
We have already shifted in excess of 700 copies of the CDs and they have been a great talking point at the events. Now called The Thornleaf Collective to give an umbrella to all who wander our way and help out, perform or just have ideas.
