starting way back in the mid of the nineties, long before the forming of his band UNSTERN BEDROHT...thee mighty king kerosene, influenced from some trips to canada, tons of snow, a girl named lisa, a band called BLISS, the collapsing buildings of montreal, a broken heart and no money left, back home... totally burned and the vision in his mind to recording some poppy, sad and also heartfelt tunes all to describe his experiences how he felt alienated far from home in a city he felt in love (yes, it´s all about canada) the groovebox/delayguitar formula combined with overstanding warmth keyboard drones ended a year later on his first hometaped cd-r. recorded tru lonely nights on his 4 track machine and added w/ an amazing mix of grandmaster stephan-sankt otten...this cd entiteld -3 days of gospel- find his way to retinascan, which is a fine indie-electronic-whatever cd-r label
later on w/ his second album the -goodbyekanadasongs cd (recorded on harddisk this time) he follows his scaffold of songs made from analogue synth pads and sweet as sweet can be delay guitars that he developed on his first recordings and bring it (nearly) to perfection. moreover, the soft and at the same time smoky voice of tina (which was a former band-member of unstern bedroht, by the way...) the so called -gasoline queen- adds a timbre of fall to the songs...
after that he took a rest from his kerosene project to went on to spent much more time with UNSTERN BEDROHT, to go on touring (3 tours at all) and recording stuff w/ this band...after these jobs were finished, he went on to record his so called -family album-, which means that this project has come more than a band than a one man project...some tunes were highly planned and arranged as unstern bedroht songs, but however...it has never happened that way...so here you can find those highly band influenced tunes added w/ the gasoline queen´s smoothing voice that is underlined by the special artwork as well...
UNSTERN BEDROHT broke up in december 2005, but nower days all ex-band members are involved in the kerosene project right now...a new 3" cd is in the making, and 2 shows are planned as well...thanks for listening...
