About Me

..
this is a "tourvideo" skillfully assembled by boris some while ago. it contains shots and pics from our latest tour tru europe in february 2005. so enjoy, watch and listen to HOME IS WHERE THE HEART ACHES. peace.
"bio": i do not exactly know when "the chestnut tree" broke up and slightly became "unstern bedroht", because that was a nervous breakdown time and things were really weird for me. i first met markus somewhere on a soccer field probably, later on cellar-partys in rheine and last but not least in his parents home practising drums. soon boris came along and we were 3/4 of a band. it was kinda screamo slomo what do i know hc. nagel from muff potter once came to a rehearsel and said something like: "this sounds like chaos z!" well i dont know until now who the hell chaos z ist. anyway. we played about 7 shows from redneck clubs to occupied spots, released a demo tape and finally broke up. i went away from the band from our so called hometown which made me mad.markus and boris moved on making music and soon found a strange guy who owned a record store in osnabrück and called himself michael hins or thee mighty king kerosene. from this time things and the expression through their music really changed. i remember the first show they played at the "gala galore festival" i read something boris gave me about scandinavian seas and ships introducing the set. they sat on their chairs and made some lovely music. i remember old "punkrock"-friends coming along to the show arguing how uncool it is to sit on a chair while playing. for me it was way more punkrock then this guys (i never met a girl talking bullshit like this) were/will ever be, holding up the conservative hc/punkrock flag where you are only cool when you at least know and own the vinyl records from born against to native nod. which by the way are really cool bands. but thats not the point if you know what i mean. well at that show it wasnt an instrumental set, tina "fame of the first bakery drive-in in town" sang some sweet french/english lyrics on top of their atmospherical soundscapes. they put out a 7" inch lovely handpacked into yellow velvet and black felt - played some more shows in their area. i almost visited every single show until i realised that i wanted to introduce unstern bedroht to everybody because for me this bunch of best friends meant/mean everything to me. soo unstern bedroht is the reason that i became kinda of a booker and made several friends all over germany/europe and even the u.s. there was this group in cologne (where i moved to) called "the k-town mosh crew (syndicate)" a diy concert-group putting up shows for bands called oma hans or against me or what do i know. well to put it short i fixed a show with them, a solidarity-concert for the plotter (a little diy monthly with dates about politic events and concerts and whatever) on the local occupied space. a.m.thawn and cobretti played with them open-air in front of 250(!) people. with all those new active and refreshing people i met all around me i became quite enthusiastic and only through them and with them it was possible for me/us as unstern bedroht that we went on three tours in the last 2 years travelling from hamburg to italy playing/meeting such cool bands like from monument to masses, electric turn to me, seidenmatt, sense of akasha...some of the venues and their local promoters became kinda of real good friends until know and to put an end to this "bio" i cant imagine life without unstern bedroht. you mean the world to me. love. xburnx. p.s. september 2005 unstern bedroht has a new full length out NOW. incl. 9 songs.(4 old ones from the until now vinyl only release "on fields of rain and snow")

(intro.oktober2005.)
