Kindness is loving people more than they deserve. ~ Joseph Joubert

About Me

i'm kind and witty, reclusive and gregarious, flawed and brilliant, complex and simple (translated: i'm a woman). i smoke and drink when i want to. i take organic vitamins, hour long walks in 30 degree weather, and consume much more than eight glasses of water a day. i'm sick and tired of being so full of affection and having nowhere to put it. after a rainstorm, i pick up earthworms that have gotten lost on the pavement and place them back in the grass, i return the pen to its rightful owner, you'll learn a new word every day, i'm open-minded without being open-ended, i will not laugh at your jokes if they are not funny, i will cheer the red sox in a room full of rabid yankee fans, i will quote 'usual suspects', 'seinfeld', and 'jfk' with equal enthusiasm, i know what's in a singapore sling, i like to sing 'friends in low places' with friends in high places, and i work at being a better human being every day (but at night... ;)

My Interests

red sox baseball, 19th c. art and history, the ASPCA, FEELING more and THINKING less, the tanglewood maze, CREATING serenity, gaming (battlefront II, diablo II), living on corfu, amercian lit., kalamata olives, a good riesling, a great kiss, learning new stuff

I'd like to meet:

you're charming and you smell good, you're well-mannered and defiant, you're a goof-ball, you have a come-hither stare, you want to own an OED (and if you don't, you certainly know what it is and covet it), you love to kiss and are GOOD at it, you crave good comedy (mostly british) almost as much as the air you breathe, you secretly love barry manilow or john denver, you have an inquisitive spirit, a sense of diplomacy, you love your mother. you understand that some of the greatest character strengths are borne of a willingness to be vulnerable (and silly). you smoke and drink when you want to, you don't fear the idea of being trapped in an elevator with william f. buckley or jim carrey. you're kind, witty, generous, quirky, sarcastic, open-minded, well-educated and well-groomed. you want to throw back a few drinks with me when absolutely (un)necessary.
