Dirty Mits

An infusion of Suburban boredom and urban rejection, the Dirty Mits have been earning the respect of the subterranean rock-nerds and their followers since 2002, built upon the foundations laid out by a hastily recorded High School Demo Tape.
The bands debut EP Not the thinking type was released in November 2005, an 8 track that earned Nathan, Hugh, Brandon and Leon a queue of loyal fans, and brought the iconic, cultural punk rock avant-garde of the foursome right into the living rooms of their old and new friends in Melbourne and Victoria. Played at the correct volume level, even their parents and neighbors can actively participate in widening the availability radius of the DirtyMits easy to follow hooks, spiced up with social and political lyrical matter A MelBourne Identity yet to be discovered in other states of this country.
Performing live at a devoted ratio, in the few CBD venues left that continue to support live music, the unreserved four piece feels just as comfortable on stage at sporadic festive outdoor soirées with solar powered London transport vehicles (Kool Skools), performance theaters (CD launch NTTT) and skate-parks underneath freeways with solar powered London transport vehicles ... again (Kool Skools)! - And of course Old school backyard parties, if necessary!.
The Dirty Mits associate with the juvenescence and appreciate the support of organisations like Freeza and promoters of independent youth events.
