Howdy!

About Me

I'm real down to earth, even a little ol' fashioned. It sounds cliche, and yet I really enjoy the simple things in life. I take time to smell the roses. I try to find humor in every situation. Family is very important to me. I love making new friends, meeting new and interesting people, as well as keeping in touch and hangin' out BBQ-side with my nearest and dearest friends. I LOVE listening to music. I LOVE dancing, and I've been taking lessons--mostly swing. I like going to the bars every so often, usually for shows or to listen to friends DJ, but I'm just as comfortable staying in and watching an old black-n'-white movie on TV. I'm a movie junkie! And I also have a vice for shopping. I have an obsession for all things vintage, especially from the 40s, 50s and 60s. I love classic cars and trucks, hot rods, and motorcycles. When I'm not out dancing or at a concert, a flea market, or a car show, I'm almost always at home; I am a bit of a domestic goddess--I love arts and crafts, sewing, home improvment, interior design, trying tasty new recipes, and baking cookies for my friends. I'm also an animal lover. And I love the ocean and stretching out at the beach. On the other hand, I get just as much pleasure from some of the finer things life has to offer. Occasionally, I like to get dressed up and go out for a nice dinner with wine (or just wine, hee). I love spending an afternoon at an art museum. Once every blue moon, I get the chance to see a play or a musical. But I rarely ever get to travel, and that's something I'd really like to be able to do more of. That's me in a nutshell! I'm still working out all the kinks. ..
