About Me

I'm only laughing on the outside
My smile is just skin deep
If you could see inside I'm really crying
You might join me for a weep.

My Interests

People fascinate me. Children and the elderly are comforting to be around. Either you're the teacher or the pupil. It's a rewarding experience. My peers, on the other hand? They're as screwed up as I am. Why waste my time?

I'd like to meet:

Nine Inch Nails - The Perfect Drug
Perfect Song. Perfect Video.

Gorillaz - El Manana
Sometimes I think I'm the helicopters.
We atheist have to be careful with people's dream world. :(

The hottest bitch on MySpace.
A hero I may be to my son, but a cowboy I surely am not.

Music:

It's all about emotion to me. If I play it more than 50 times before I toss it out of my playlist or send it to more than 2-3 people, then I must like it. I know no genre. I care not to label. Instrumental, unplugged, electric, trip, acid, folk, death, rural vibrations; they feed my soul. Ambrosia for the ears. Eclectic by nature. I am an omnivores connoisseur of music.

Movies:

Here's a hint: I have over 300 DVDs falling off a shelf in my living room, gigs of downloaded and burnt movie files and a large box full of VHS tapes in storage. I am a movie addict and Amazon.com is my pusher. I was leisurely browsing through the cheap bin at Wally-world one day, sorting and stacking and tidying up the piles of DVDs when someone came up to me and asked if I worked there. That sort of snapped me out of my daydreamy experience of DVD hunting. *sigh* So many movies... so little popcorn.

Television:

"The remarkable thing about television is that it permits several million people to laugh at the same joke and still feel lonely." - T. S. Eliot
I hate television. I don't know why I pay the cable company to show me commericals. Must be the tiny bits of censored bullshit they tease your dull witted mind with in between. I work in advertising. You would think the last thing I want to see once I get home is another fucking ad.

Books:

The Da Vinci Code, The Dark Tower Series, Choose Your Own Adventure books, The Giving Tree, Shakespeare, Poe, Amazing Stories: The 4D Funhouse, Clive Barker's Imagica, the Bible, The Book of the Dead, the sayings of wise men and women throughout the ages and the owners manual/tip book of whatever program, gadget, Transformers toy and video game I happen to be paying attention to. Without you I would know little joy.

Heroes:

Whomever told me there was no Santa Clause, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, God, Satan, life after death, right or wrong and that life truely is not fair. You have my dearest, heartfelt thanks.
