"I'm not a pragmatist, understand. I have a keen and merciless conscience. I could have been a nice guy. Maybe at times I am. But always, I've been a man of action. Grief is a waste, and so is fear. And action is what you will get here, as soon as I get through this introduction." --- Lestat ---

I am a humongous dork. And it has come to my attention that everyone is calling themselves a dork nowadays like it's cool or something. Well it is cool, and I have been a dork since I was 2 years old, back in 81, before most of you were all born. So I'm a dork -seriously.
If you take me too seriously, you are in loads of trouble. And most importantly,
read the "who I'd like to meet section" very carefully, because a lot of you aren't getting it. (hint: Send a message before you send a friend request.) Thanks!
Socially I'm outspoken and energetic. I am in many ways a loner but I love interaction. I'm one of those people with 5 best friends who I'd die for, 50 close friends who I love like family, and 500 great friends who I always welcome with a smile and a hug. People either love me or are wary of me. Some people call me cocky, some call me honest, my friends know not to try and describe me, they just call me Nick. Emotionally I'm open and honest. I don't hide or sugar-coat my feelings. I love being excited, sad, smitten, euphoric, anxious or embarrassed. I'm not afraid to speak my mind. At the same time I'm not afraid to say I'm sorry. Intellectually I'm versatile. I can expound on literature, history, and math for days but feel equally comfortable engaging in conversations about sports, vice, and the weather. Think Glen Livet and Bud Light, The Royal Tennenbaums and Dazed and Confused, and of course Outkast and Outkast. It really doesn't matter what height (or depth) of brow someone rests at as long as they are interesting or passionate. Call me pedantic, I'll take it as a compliment, but you could never call me banal. Of course instinct will always trump cerebral guidance, at least for now. Physically I believe in 8 glasses of water a day, sunscreen, being active, and as much ice cream as I can eat. While I don't have much time to workout, fitness is important to me because it not only makes me feel good, but it also allows me to function at a higher level professionally and socially. And while looks are merely a byproduct, you won't catch me complaining. I'm Fashionably late as a rule, but concerning style I would describe myself as well fitting, sharp and relaxed. Rainbows and 7's mixed with t-shirts, polo's, sweaters, whatever - are a must. Versatility is important - Suits, hooded sweatshirts, French cuffs, board shorts, shoes worth every penny you spent on them, Converse All Stars, anything pink, anything Zara and of course, blue jeans and plain white t-shirt. Fiscally the best word to describe me is efficient. I love to save money, and having a degree in finance, I'm easily excited in a very nerdy way by investment vehicles and compound interest, but If I like something, whether it be clothing/something shiny/another drink at the bar, I'll normally always buy it. Politically I'm a registered independent who leans left socially and right fiscally. Religiously I stand behind The Bible and Darwin. I think people are entitled to interpretation, and all monotheistic believers are, in essence, worshiping the same God. The most important thing a person can do besides believe in yourself is love your neighbor. And Finally I'll quote Ferris Bueller quoting John Lennon. "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me"
