EMOTIVE (cerchiamo batterista)

The band was born in October 2004, between Venice and Padua, when Ivan (bass) and Francesco (guitars), both ex members of Chronic (gothic thrash metal band that already had obtained very good results, as a best demo review on January 2003 Metal shock n.° 374/375), decided to start up a brand-new project with different sonorities, this time more dark and melodic. Once completed the line up with Nicola (vocals), Marco (keyboards) and Domenico (drums), all coming from the most different genre experiences, the so formed new band began to jam and play some cover of common taste tracks: songs by HIM, 69 Eyes, To/Die/For and Paradise Lost seem to be the most reflective ones of the direction taken by this new project. Since spring 2005 the band starts to compose its own music, and in summer, once named the band “Emotive”, to perform in local festivals and contests, in order to show its music concept: surely there is a deep influence of the actual gothic metal scene, but also much more. Emotive create a brand new genre, a powerful and all consuming gothic-dark, melodic and filled with a desperate rage, full of atmospheres and pain, not falling in the more classical genre clich.. but fresh and dynamic also thanks even to some non-metal band members’ influences. The biblical and epic struggle between Love and Death, Life and Resignation, Hope and Sadness, the bitter consciousness of human condition and the sufferance for the continue searching of the longed for redemption represent the main themes of every song of the band: all this definitely shines through in tracks like “Hallowed be thy name”, “Dead in my arms” and “Night on my heart”. With this particular alchemy they’re able to create, Emotive get the first gratifications: at the first public performance, the musical contest “Giovani in concorso 2005”in Fiesso d’Artico (Venice), they already obtain very good critics; in autumn festival “Libert.. Sonore” in Trebaseleghe (Padua) they earn a great check from the audience, which is confirmed in “Emergenza Festival 2005/2006” set in the well-known place “New Age Club” in Roncade (Treviso), where the band wins all the three eliminatory steps and reaches the final one; this success is reconfirmed in the summer festival “Ambrofest” in Sant’Ambrogio (Padua). Fortified by this audience liking, now Emotive want more: in addiction of the new live shows for the upcoming season, is yet to come the new studio promo cd, which will contain all the melancholic power that made them to be appreciate in their live exhibitions.
