Hi. I'm Jess, and yes, that is my tongue in the top right corner. I'm a student at Clemson University. My major is pre-veterinary medicine. I love animals, singing, and having fun. I'm a vegetarian. I am bi-lingual (I'm half French), I have 13 piercings, 2 tattoos, I'm short, I'm a Jew, and my hair is very very long.
I'm a little random (can ya tell?) I've wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as I can remember. In my 3rd year of college, I found myself avoiding my hardest (and of course, most important subjects) and taking classes like yoga and guitar instead. When I realized that it was probably going to take me several more years to graduate and that I was starting to get stupid, I decided to put my cow-delivering/ guitar strumming skills aside and take a little break in hopes to find that inner-smartness that I STILL have (thankyouverymuch) that got me through high school and bring it back with me to Clemson. Well, a year later, I officially started back with school and classes were (and still are) tougher than ever, but I'm happy to say that my time-off was not wasted. I was able to look into some of the other things that are important to me and explore some of my other options in which I can speak up for those who can't (the animals). I also found modeling which turned out to not only be something I really enjoy, but it gave me another opportunity to promote animal rights. Getting accepted to veterinary school is still my ultimate goal but it's gonna be very tough (tougher than medical school). Until then, I will be devoting more of my time to defending animal rights and working towards animal liberation.
Now, on being a vegetarian... Let me first say that I do not hate those of you who eat meat. In fact, some of my closest friends and family eat meat; however, they understand and respect my decision not to. I am not here to judge you. All I ask is for those of you who think I am crazy because I support animal rights or because I don't eat animals to open your eyes to the truth before YOU judge ME. Please click here to watch this videoand perhaps you'll understand me a little better. I will be posting some videos in my blog as well.
And for those ignorant folks who STILL think I'm bonkers for choosing not to eat animals... maybe YOU should be the one being tortured and eaten. Yeah! Maybe YOU should have your fingers CUT off and your limbs broken and then be forced to sit in your own excrements for a few weeks before being thrown in some boiling water alive. THEN ,maybe YOU should be cooked and eaten...that is if there is even any thing good under those thick layers of lard - probably a result of the huge amounts of saturated fat you have been scarfing down. Of course, you wouldn't be on MY plate, since I don't eat anything that had a face. Now if I didn't eat anything that had a heart, you might have something to worry about...oh wait, no you wouldn't...you'd be dead, duh!
Oh, and I am not a terrorist. Thank you. (((hugs))) :-)
