"Mark 'Mister Batlow' Bajade creates bold eye catching designs and patterns for fashion that are filled with his own sense of dry wit and humour. Batlow has been awarded the UKâ€™s Urban Fashion Customiser of The Year in 2006 and Newhamâ€™s Designer of The Year 2007, both with the design collective he founded: The Ugly Kids Club. As 'Creative Director and Project Manager' of The Ugly Kids Club, Batlow has been involved with all major Ugly Projects including The Ugly Kids Club T Shirt label, The Smoking Ban Tour with Skinnyman, Ugly Fashion Shows and the newer business ventures; Ugly Walls and Ugly Skin.
About to complete his degree in Surface Design at The London Institute of The Arts, Batlow has already established himself as a freelance artist and graffiti designer, and his creative energies frequently skips from large scale murals and commissions to digital design and to hand painted Louis Vuitton handbags and clothing. Although his subject matter can change from weed smoking Carebears, Tarantino film references or New York 80s graffiti, they are still presented in his signature audacious manner. Marks list of clients from the last half-decade include Levis, DKNY, The Jumpoff, The Princes Trust, Nike, Nokia, Sony and celebrities Cheryl Tweedy and Mariah Carey."
