"TAKEN AWAY IN A CAR" EP OUT JULY 25th

About Me

SICKBOY’sfirst single “The A-Tune” produced by Marc Carolan (Muse’s live gem) received serious airplay and positive reviews in the Capital. It was featured on a TV advert for the six nations rugby on RTE and was also the Most requested song on Phantom FM in 2007! Performing on stage for the likes of The Kooks, The Bravery & Gang of Four to name but a few along with their own list of live shows- gained Sick Boy legions of fans in their own right. A step in the right direction for this Dublin based band, showing promise for the future.

Consisting of twin brothers Colm & Brian Giles and Dan Doherty, they have forged a powerful but melodic sound that incorporates intense delayed guitar hooks, intelligent driving rhythm sections and thoughtful yet sometimes cheeky lyrics and a live show that’s raw and in your face- something you won’t forget in a hurry.

Having established themselves as one of the most exciting unsigned bands in Ireland, shows us not a little, but allot of hope for this 3 piece. With their 5 track triple A side & double B-Side EP “Taken Away In A Car” (produced by Marc Carolan ) ready to be launched with an intimate show on July 25th in Whelans (upstairs) & July 30th in Antic’s @ Crawdaddy and an album on the way. We can expect only great things for this band. SICK BOY are and act to be seen, heard, adored and remembered. The band will tour Ireland over the next 2 months then they will be heading into the studio again to finish their debut album.
