Kali is a former ballerina turned singer/songwriter. Born and raised in Reykjavik, Iceland, her given name is Svala Karitas Bjorgvinsdottir but Kali is a nickname she was given a couple of years ago. Svala or Kali comes from a very famous musical family, both her father and brother are very successful singers in Iceland. She has released two solo albums, her debut album "The Real Me" was released in 2001 and her second album "Bird Of Freedom" in 2005. The songbird has been recording music since she was 7 years old but didn«t start writing her own songs until the age of 17. Kali is a rare natural talent and is known for her hooky melodies and for her amazing vocal chops.
