I am the largest body of fresh water in the world. If my waters were emptied, I would cover North and South America in over a foot of water. I could contain all the other Great Lakes plus three more lakes the size of Lake Erie. I have a maximum length of 350 miles and maximum width of 160. My average depth is 489 ft with a maximum depth of 1,333 ft. I contain 2,935 cubic miles of water and my shoreline stretches 2,730 miles.
